RING IN THE NEW YEAR AT THE ROCK WITH A FEAST FIT FOR MASTERCHEF

Yorkshire foodies aspiring to be the next two-star Michelin chef, such as Michel Roux Jnr. are being given the chance to sample delectable-dishes prepared by Churchill’s Restaurant Head Chef, Ben Varley, following his recent appearance on the hit TV show, Masterchef the Professionals.

The six-course culinary feast is being offered on New Year’s Eve at the Holywell Green restaurant based within The Rock Hotel near Halifax; showcasing second to none Yorkshire produce as well as Ben’s complex cooking skills, which won him a place on the prestigious BBC 2 competition.

Despite an early mishap with a knife which saw Ben injure his finger, he made four appearances on Masterchef the Professionals, cooking up a storm to tantalize the taste buds of the highly acclaimed judging panel, Gregg Wallace and Monica Galetti.

The New Year’s Eve menu is an exact replica of the dishes Ben prepared during his recent TV appearances, which reflect his philosophy towards food. “I’m passionate about taking the very best local produce and turning it into traditional, British dishes with a modern twist. I’m really excited about sharing the menu with diners at the restaurant” said Ben.
